William Kenneth Alphin: The Philanthropist One
The taller, hat wearing, loving everybody member of Big and Rich. He is a seventh generation farmboy, born in Culpeper in 1963 on November 1 and raised on a farm that was called Rillhurst Farms that has been in his mother's family since the American Revolutionary war and has served as hosptal during the American Civil War for both sides. He was the fourth child and has an older sister named Charlene and two older brothers named Robert and Wallace and always had a love of music starting from around two. He got his singing prowess with the help of taking lessons from his mother, who also was the church director of the choir at their church. It wasn't just his mother that was involved their church, but his father was too serving as a deacon.
And let it not be said that Kenny isn't gifted or imaginative, not only did a young Kenny spend kindergarten at home quelling his creative thirst with his mother via reading, drawing and other fun things to stimulate his brain, not only can he solve a rubik cube in under three minutes, but when he was in high school he was given the rare honor of being nominated three times in his county school system to be placed in the Virginia Summer Governor School of the Gifted. Speaking of his school years overall, in middle school, with the help of a high school band director who also doubled as his saxaphone teacher, founded the jazz band. Never one to seem to want to stop founding new things, in high school he started a high school business and after high school, he started his own construction business. That's right, for s short few years Kenny was a blond Tony Stark. Well in that Kenny was the CEO of a company called Alphin Development Corporation.
How did he end up in the construction business you ask, or maybe you didn't since you(the user) would probably have some idea of his backstory given this information is out there if you google him enough, but in case you didn't know, here is the gist of it. It all started when he opened up a logging business during high school where he hired 12 people. One of those years he dropped out of his calculus class(I don't blame him :P) to work at a construction company called S.W Rodgers Construction company, of which according to Google is still around to this day, where he learned the practical art of drafting. Like the fictional Tony Stark, he opened and became CEO of his own construction business in his early twenties, enjoying being a self made millionaire. It was also during his twenties that 5 of those years was spend being married to a woman known as Karen Garr. And don't think that you can easily find more information about her as the only mention of her name is being on his IDMB page under the biography section. They don't even mention when exactly they got married and when they got divorce. We can only infer with other information pieced together during the business era of Kenny Alphin's life that this was during the 1980s.
All of the things that made Kenny somewhat similar to the fictional character that Robert Downey Jr so amazingly plays in the MCU movies came crashing down during the Saving and Loans Crisis that so horrifyingly swept the American economic landscape from 1986 to 1995, almost ten years where over 1,043 saving and loans association perished out of 3,234 associations. The economically tragic waves of this past disaster came in two waves, the first lasting three years, from 1986 to 1989, and the second wave from 1909 to 1995. The first wave saw 296 businesses closing and the second wave 747. One of those metaphorically shot in the chest was Alphin Development Corporation, Kenny beloved company. He had to fired 75 employees and eventually close up show for eternity. It is not clearly found of which timeline Kenny's company closed, but it might've been somewhere in the late 80s/early 90s.
It was during the 90s that he got back up on his feet like a Phoenix rising out of the ashes and get his life back together after the harrowing event that made rendered ADC to nothing but a nostalgic memory and a newfound dream realization to seek a career in. What career was it? Why becoming an epic singer of course! And he headed down to the one place that he'll have the most luck in getting his dream from his imaginative brain and into reality was Nashville, Tennessee in 1994 when he was all but 29 years of age! Though they didn't really meet until 1998, it was during the early Nashville years that he saw a young John Rich performing with Lonestar. It was during this time that he met some people with whom he would go on to create the sadly short lived, but forever will go down as the epic bands of all epic bands, at least to this fangirl, known as luvjOi! With only two albums, this band will shower you with its melodic otherworldly awesomeness and leave you addicted, wishing they had made at least one more album, but alas you just have to settle for the two albums that thankfully exists in our reality. And wish they would released any unreleased luvjOi on the vast and grand internet.
He had also released an equally as awesome solo ablum called Live A Little via Hollywood Record, but life decided it didn't have enough of its fill of throwing Kenny down to the ground hard(metaphorically speaking). Not only did he lost the rights to his epic songs for 5 years, but he ended up getting dropped from the record. And the album that he recorded just ended up collecting dust, leading to instead of having it just be released in 1999, it was released 6 years later....in 2005 after the success of Big and Rich. This development and the eventual release had just led him to being displease with the whole play life just laid down.
One good thing that came out of the whole Live A Little era is that the single went straight up to the pop charts in Turkey for 26 goddamn weeks....thats fucking impressive!
